Renfe demuestra la efectividad de su plataforma tecnológica y su trabajo en la instalación ante los turolenses.

Renfe's Digital Competence Center (CCD) in Teruel recently opened its doors to citizens to give them an inside look at how the company's technology platform operates and how the facility functions, according to a press release from the company. Staff and personnel from the CCD provided visitors with a detailed analysis of the facility's operations on Monday, as part of the company's efforts to familiarize the locals with its operations and to provide young interns and recent graduates with a glimpse into the working of the company. The company also aims to make the facility a reference point for those wanting to enter the technology sector.

The facility in Teruel is responsible for maintaining the Renfe's technology infrastructure and ensuring that it's always up and running to remain agile and responsive to customer needs. It manages over 600 applications and 1,600 virtual servers and 75 physical systems, and handles over three million emails per month, along with 50 unique technology solutions and 40 storage systems. The CCD employs 40 professionals.

The company has worked hard to integrate the facility with the city's inhabitants by collaborating with local institutions such as the University Politecnica of Teruel, the Aragonese Institute for Employment, and various schools in the region. In March of this year, Renfe and the Teruel Provincial Council established a free technology training program for women, aimed at developing basic skills in cloud computing and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Renfe's establishment of the CCD two years ago is indicative of its commitment to fighting depopulation and its support of decentralization and digital transformation. The company already has five other centers in Alcázar de San Juan (robotics), Miranda de Ebro (application management), Linares and Mérida (customer service), and Monforte de Lemos (cybersecurity).
